DoableClaw Sourcing · India Desk

Verified Indian factories.Buyers who are actually buying.

We connect international buyers with audited Indian manufacturers, and Indian exporters with importers who are actively sourcing. Research first, introductions second, and nothing unverified in between.

One desk, both sides of the trade

The same research engine serves whichever side of the table you sit on.

Buyers

For buyers and importers

Vetted factory shortlists, matched to your product category, volumes and compliance requirements
Vendor profiles on paper first: audit status (SEDEX, SMETA, BSCI), leather trail including LWG rated tannery sourcing where required, capacity and MOQ
Counter-samples before commitment. Select partners turn samples in as little as 7 days, MOQs from 100 pieces per style
Duty aware quotes. UK duty on Indian leather goods is 0% since July 2026 under the India UK trade agreement. We put landed cost math in the quote, not marketing claims
Exporters

For exporters and manufacturers

Named buyer discovery: importers, distributors and private label chains researched by product fit, current supplier origin and buying signals
Outreach done for you, from your catalogue: real product emails, design concepts in the buyer's language, follow-through to a booked meeting
Market intelligence you can act on: tariff windows, certification requirements buyers are asking for, and which markets are opening for your category
You pay for outcomes, not reports

Why the middle has to be someone's job

India has no shortage of capacity. It has a shortage of people who will stand behind a match.

A buyer sourcing from India is rarely short of options. Directories return four hundred factories for one query, a trade fair returns a stack of business cards, and an agent returns whoever pays them the most. None of that answers the only question that matters: which of these actually makes my product, at my volume, to my compliance bar — and who is accountable when the production run does not match the sample.

We sit in that gap on purpose. Our pool is built by relationship, not by scrape. We are in regular contact with a core group of exporters — several of them houses that have been making leather for more than thirty years — and we keep a wider researched network of over two hundred manufacturers behind them. Every claim they make gets checked before it reaches you, and every introduction we make is our own name on the line.

What we are

A matchmaking desk. Research, verification, and an introduction only where both sides fit
Deep in one category first. Leather, end to end, from finished leather to the shipped article
Accountable. We stay in the loop through samples, quotes and the first order

What we are not

Not a directory. Nobody buys a higher ranking here, because there is no listing to rank
Not a lead list. Contacts are researched for one brief, not resold to twenty
Not a volume game. We turn down briefs the network cannot honestly serve

What the desk has actually done

Buyer names withheld, partner names released only after a fit is established. The numbers are not.

How it works

Three steps, either direction.

1

Tell us what you buy or make

Product category, target market, volumes, compliance needs. Fifteen minutes on a call, or by email if you prefer.

2

Get verified matches on paper

Factory or buyer profiles with the claims checked: audits, certifications, capacity, trade data. No introductions until the paper stands up.

3

Samples, quotes, meetings

Counter-samples on your desk, costed quotes against your references, and introductions only when both sides fit.

Partner identities are shared after a fit is established, with their consent. That protects their client relationships and yours.

Categories we cover today

Deepest in leather, expanding by demand.

Who you actually talk to

A two-person desk, not a contact form. The same people who vet the factories are the people on your call.

Questions buyers ask on the first call

The answers we give on the phone, written down so you can read them first.

What does DoableClaw Sourcing actually do?

We are a two-sided sourcing desk. For international buyers we build vetted shortlists of Indian manufacturers matched to the product, the volume and the compliance bar. For Indian exporters we research and approach real importers who are actively buying their category.

The work is research, verification and introduction. We do not publish a directory and we do not sell lists.

How do you verify a manufacturer before you introduce them?

Everything a factory claims is checked on paper before a buyer ever sees the name: audit status such as SEDEX, SMETA or BSCI, the leather trail including LWG-rated tannery sourcing where the buyer requires it, production capacity, minimum order quantities, and export history.

If the paper does not stand up, the factory does not go on the shortlist. That is the entire product.

How large is your manufacturer network?

Over 200 manufacturers are researched and profiled. More important than the breadth is the depth: we are in constant, regular contact with a core group of exporters, several of them houses with more than 30 years in the industry.

A shortlist is drawn from people we actually speak to, not from a scraped database.

Why do you not list your factories publicly?

Because our partners protect their client relationships, and a public list would put those relationships in front of their competitors.

Partner identities are shared once a fit is established, with the partner’s consent. Until then you get the full profile on paper: capability, capacity, audits, certifications, markets served.

Which product categories do you cover?

Leather today, and deeply: leather goods and accessories, leather garments, safety gloves, safety footwear, finished leather, belts and small leather goods, and home and lifestyle leather.

We expand by demand rather than by ambition. Credible in one category beats shallow in twelve.

Do you handle samples, minimum order quantities and lead times?

Yes. Counter-samples come before any commitment. With select partners, samples turn in as little as 7 days and minimum order quantities start from 100 pieces per style.

Quotes are built with the landed-cost maths included, not just an ex-works number.

What does it cost to talk to you?

The first 15 minute call costs nothing, and neither does the initial scoping by email if you would rather not take a call yet.

Engagement terms are agreed in writing before any work begins. On the exporter side, you pay for outcomes, not for reports.

I am an Indian exporter. Can you find buyers for me?

That is the other half of the desk. We research named importers, distributors and private-label chains by product fit, current supplier origin and buying signals, then run the outreach from your catalogue — real product emails, design concepts in the buyer’s language, followed through to a booked meeting.

We take on exporters selectively, because every buyer introduction we make is our own reputation.

Tell us what you buy, or what you make

Fifteen minutes is enough to know whether the network fits. If it does not, we will say so on the call.
